Students from the town and a senior contestant, who proved their prowess in ‘silambam’ at an Asia-level competition, bagged seven medals recently.

During the fourth Asian Silambam Championship organised by the Asian Silambam Federation in Nagercoil from April 26 to 28, six persons bagged medals. They would participate in the World Silambam Championship to be held in Malaysia in August.
