Storage level in Cauvery reservoirs at 13.93 tmcft

Water Resources Minister D.K. Shivakumar has expressed concern over the depleting water level in the State reservoirs and has said that live storage in four reservoirs of the Cauvery Basin stood at only 13.93 tmcft as on June 3, 2019.

Speaking to presspersons here on Monday, Mr. Shivakumar said the State has been facing difficult situation owing to prevailing drought and declining water storage levels in reservoirs. On June 3, 2019, he said live storage in Harangi was 1.12 tmcft, Hemavati 3.45 tmcft, KRS 6.79 tmcft, and Kabini 2.56 tmcft.
