45 medicos get seats in PG institutions

Forty-five students of the 2012 batch of the Government Medical College here have got seats in various postgraduate medical institutions. Results of some other institutions are awaited. On Saturday, Bachikayala Ajay Kumar, who got admission in JIPMER (through the examination held last Sunday), met college principal K.S.S. Venkateswara Rao and thanked him for his guidance.

Dr. Ajay Kumar, who got 84th rank in JIPMER, wanted to pursue a course in radiation oncology.

The results of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), in which about 400 seats are available, are expected in the next two months. About 90 seats are available at JIPMER and 60 at PGI Chandigarh.

With a number of students leaving JIPMER and joining AIIMS or PGI, Dr. Ajay expects to get the course of his choice.
