Strictly Come Dancing’s Tess Daly has opened up about her marriage to fellow TV host Vernon Kay, describing her husband as her “soulmate,” as well as revealing she “loves him more than ever.”
Speaking during her cover interview with Women’s Health, Tess, who tied the knot with Vernon back in 2003, spoke candidly about their relationship.
And the 51 year old insisted they’re stronger than ever before after she realised how much she missed him during his I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here stint in last year’s series of the hit ITV show.

Speaking in the April edition of the magazine during their exclusive photo shoot, Tess recalled how everything went wrong while he was staying in Wales for four weeks.
However Tess said that only made her realise how much she depends on him and needs him around the house.
Tess, who shares two daughters Phoebe and Amber, with Vernon said: “The printer, the dishwasher, the dryer [all broke] – basically everything you need when solo parenting.”

In the interview, the presenter also opened up on a number of other topics, including the most recent series of Strictly Come Dancing, which brought much-needed joy to the nation as restrictions across the country tightened.

And it seems the team behind the BBC ballroom extravaganza embraced every second of being able to entertain viewers at home, with Tess describing it as one of her favourite series to date.
She said: “I loved it more than ever. Of course, it was frustrating that you couldn’t hug people. If someone’s in tears or they’re leaving the show, it’s hard not being able to physically reach out.”
“But Strictly is such a celebratory, feel-good show, full of warmth and sparkle and joy, I felt lucky to be a part of something that people were appreciating on a whole other level because they were stuck at home.”
She also took the opportunity to tell the publication she feels no different now than in her thirties.
“Confidence comes from cutting yourself some slack. I’m in my fifties now. That’s still a shock when I say it out loud, because I don’t feel any different to when I was in my thirties,” Tess explained.
“But I don’t fixate on age as a limitation, because it’s never held me back…confidence, to me, is just pushing yourself a little bit further than you think you can go, and you’ll always surprise yourself.”
