Royal fans were left gushing on Monday night as Prince William shared new photos of his three children.

The 38 year old fronted an ITV documentary about protecting the environment entitled A Planet For Us All, which showed him on a global mission that was filmed over two years.

Whilst many fans of the Duke of Cambridge praised him for his knowledge and passion for our planet, others concentrated more on the rare footage of his and Kate Middleton's three young children.

Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five, and Prince Louis, two, were seen in the programme as they enjoyed the outdoors.

In gorgeous unseen images, future king George was seen digging up some soil as he lifted a large spade, wearing a smart green polo shirt and a pair of grey jeans.

Princess Charlotte dressed in a blue long-sleeved jumper and a blue and green tartan patterned skirt as she helped plant flowers into the ground.

Meanwhile, an adorable Prince Louis was seen playing in the sand on the beach as he carried a blue bucket, donning a blue and white striped top with matching shorts.

Fans melted as Prince George asked the legendary broadcaster what animal he thinks will go extinct next, as Princess Charlotte told him how much she loves spiders.

However, the cutest moment of all came when Prince Louis asked him: "What animal do you like?," with Sir David responding that his favourite is the gorilla.
