Emily is an NHS doctor and Pete has spoken of his pride as his wife's work during the pandemic.
He spoke to the Sun about the worrying moment she fell unwell.
“It was a really scary time. Emily became ill when the cases were soaring, nobody knew the symptoms, not all doctors were wearing masks and Emily was very exposed to it,” he said.
Pete called her "wonderful" and "selfless" as she helps patients in hospital wards on a daily basis.
