Movies this week: Game Over, Khamoshi and Men in Black: International | Bollywood Life
Salman Khan’s Bharat, which released on June 5, is working wonders at the box office. June began on a positive note for Bollywood and going by the entertainment lined up for this week, seems like the charm may continue. There are three films releasing this week, with some promising content. Taapsee Pannu is here with a thrilling ride in Game Over, while Prabhudheva and Tamannah Bhatia’s supernatural horror Khamoshi will also be releasing. And Hollywood science fiction Men in Black: International is too scheduled to hit the screens on Friday. So, while you wait to enjoy these films at the theatre, here’s an insight into them:
Game Over
Director: Ashwin Saravanan
Cast: Taapsee Pannu
Synopsis: Game Over is thriller drama and features Taapsee in a wheel-chair bound character. The psychological film promises a nail-biting journey as the protagonist feels she is being haunted by a mysterious force. The trailer of Game Over was loaded with scary scenes and Taapsee’s condition is explained by a doctor as Anniversary Reaction, which is the return of haunting memories of an old trauma. The film will release in Tamil and Telugu as well.
Khamoshi
Director: Chakri Toleti
Cast: Prabhudheva, Tamannaah Bhatia, Bhumika Chawla and Sanjay Suri
Synopsis: Khamoshi is yet another edge-of-the-seat thriller releasing this Friday. Tamannaah Bhatia plays a deaf and mute girl, who plans to donate the property she has inherited. However soon people around her get murdered and she is trapped in her house as the killer appears at her door. Prabhudheva plays a negative character in Khamoshi, whose trailer had several spine-chilling moments.
Men in Black: International
Director: F Gary Gray
Cast: Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Emma Thompson and Liam Neeson
Synopsis: This is the fourth film in the Men in Black series and introduces Chris Hemsworth as Agent H and Tessa Thompson as Agent M. This time the sci-fi adventure features the agents dealing with the biggest threat ever, that of an infiltrator in the Men in Black organisation.
