Lily Collins and Ashley Park pose together while attending an Emily In Paris reception held at the Ambassador’s Residence on Wednesday (December 1) in Washington, DC.
The ladies were also joined by their co-star William Abadie, creator Darren Star and director/executive producer Andy Fleming.
The Emily In Paris stars and creatives met with the Ambassador of France Philippe Etienne.
Lily recently opened up about the upcoming second season, what she hopes people do while watching, and she addressed the backlash from season one.
Find out what she shared inside…
“I really hope people laugh and smile and get to have the same feelings of escapism and fun that they did the first season,” Lily told Glamour magazine. “I hope viewers find more of themselves in different characters, and feel seen and represented in the show. And I hope that we get a season three, because I really hope we get to come back and do this again.”
On the second season, Lily said, “You really go into different areas of the city, and see Emily trying a little harder and making an effort in her new city. She’s really leaning into the environment and allowing herself to embrace it and become one with it. It’s a heightened version of this world because it’s a comedy and it’s a Darren Star–produced, created, colorful, bright, romantic version of what the story would be.”
