John Whaite, 32, and Johannes Radebe, 34, have made history as Strictly Come Dancing’s first ever all-male dancing duo to compete this series. During his time in the competition so far, he has been impressing the judges and public with his moves on the dance floor.

Last week, the pair scored 30 out of 40 points for their Tango routine.

Yesterday, they discussed their upcoming Paso Doble for movie week on Strictly: It Takes Two.

Fans have since flocked to social media to share their thoughts.

Twitter user Siobhan wrote: “I don’t know if both John and Johannes are single or not.

“But if not then a small part of me wants the #Strictly curse to strike. Because THAT CHEMISTRY! #ItTakesTwo.”

John has shut down any concerns about being unfaithful to his partner of 13 years Paul Atkins.

On Instagram today, the Great British Bake Off winner was asked whether he was worried about catching feelings for Johannes, who is believed to be single.

One of his 158,000 followers asked: “Worried about the Strictly curse?”

“Not one bit. This boy has my heart,” he replied alongside a snap of his partner.

In response to another fan, he said Johannes was the “kindest and gentlest soul” he had ever met.

“Definitely one of two in a million (My Paul is the other),” he added.

The term “curse” has been used to describe relationship break-ups involving the contestants or professionals on Strictly Come Dancing.

Twitter user Perfume I***t added on Twitter: “It’s John and Johannes to get hit by the curse.”

This week, Paul revealed he had no concerns about John getting up close and personal with the professional for dances.

On Steph’s Packed Lunch, he spilled: “If you could see him at the end of the day after a full day’s rehearsing, he can barely walk so there’s no room for anything else.

“He crawls through the door at the end of the day.”

After his appearance on the show, Liane Moncur penned: “John and Johannes are my absolute favourites on Strictly.

“I hope they win but it was nice to see Paul, John’s partner on the show. I worry about the Strictly Curse!”

In a recent interview, John’s fellow participant Adam Peaty admitted he understands why it happens on the show.

The 26-year-old demonstrated a move he did with Katya Jones during an interview with The Times, explaining: “My hips are here, hers are here, and then we do this… You get close. I can see how it happens.”

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.45pm on BBC One.
