Jesy Nelson shares cryptic post about ‘fakes’ in the industry who ‘tear people down’… just hours after Phillip Schofield quits ITV as his affair with younger colleague is revealed
Jesy Nelson shared a very cryptic post just hours after Phillip Schofield confirmed he would be quitting ITV as he admitted to an affair with a younger colleague.
The singer, 31, took to Instagram on Friday night to share a post about ‘fakes’ in the industry who ‘tear people down’ before then jumping on a ‘be kind bandwagon’.
Her comments came hours after Phillip, 61, quit ITV and was dropped by his talent agency YMU after admitting to an affair with a young male This Morning colleague.
He confessed to having the ‘unwise but not illegal’ relationship with a man during his marriage to Stephanie Lowe, and previously denied the affair when asked about it by his agent.
Appearing to make reference to the revelation, Jesy took to her Stories to write about how ‘sad’ the industry is as she criticised people for ‘tearing’ others down.

Cryptic: The singer, 31, took to Instagram on Friday night to share a post about ‘fakes’ in the industry who ‘tear people down’ before then jumping on a ‘be kind bandwagon’
She cryptically penned: ‘This industry is so sad. Full of fakes, full of people who can’t wait to tear people down and stand on their high horse and blast it all over the news.
‘It’s not until something drastic happens that then everyone wants to jump on a band wagon of BE KIND. What a sad sad world we live in.’
In a follow-up post, Jesy shared a selfie of herself giving the thumbs-up as she added: ‘Btw guys I’m absolutely fine just expressing how I feel. Night night love you all.’
Her comments come after some of Phillip’s former colleagues have not shied away from piling on the criticism after he quit This Morning and his affair was revealed.
Eamonn Holmes blasted ITV as he accused the company of covering up Phillip’s affair, while channel staff have been left bewildered by the bombshell confession.
Eamonn – who previously presented the show alongside wife Ruth Langsford – made a string of allegations suggesting station bosses knew of claims against Phillip and ‘never once took action’.
The broadcaster, 63 – who formerly presented on This Morning alongside Phillip – sensationally claimed bosses knew ‘what kind of man’ the star was and did not take action.
He said: ‘Schofield has finally been caught out, but he’s not the only guilty party.’

In a later tweet, the former This Morning presenter claimed he and his wife Ruth Langsford had been ‘deceived’ about the allegations and promised that: ‘One day I will tell the story.’
He said the couple had been ‘taken for fools’.
An ITV spokesman said: ‘We are deeply disappointed by the admissions of deceit made tonight by Phillip Schofield.

‘The relationships we have with those we work with are based on trust. Philip made assurances to us which he now acknowledges were untrue and we feel badly let down.
‘We accept his resignation from ITV and therefore can confirm that he will not be appearing on ITV as had previously been stated.’
Meanwhile last week, after Phillip quit This Morning but before his affair was revealed, Amanda Holden appeared to make a thinly-veiled swipe at the star.
Last Saturday, she appeared to make a thinly-veiled swipe at her former colleague Phillip after he confirmed he has quit This Morning.
She took to Instagram on Saturday to share a cryptic post just minutes after the shocking news was revealed amid Phillip’s ‘feud’ with co-host Holly Willoughby.
The star posted a strongman emoji in what appeared to be a sign of celebration and did not caption the post as she remained mysterious about its meaning.
Amanda previously worked with Phillip on This Morning and has not shied away from making her feelings known about him over the years amid their ongoing feud.
Amanda first worked with Phillip after stepping into Holly’s shoes when the This Morning star took a year off the show to have her third baby in 2014.
She previously said she believes that in 2018, Phillip sabotaged her chances of filling in on This Morning while Holly hosted I’m A Celeb.
Jesy’s comments came hours after Phillip admitted to an affair with a younger male colleague, which he claimed was ‘unwise but not illegal’, in a lengthy statement released on Friday, in which he also apologised to his wife and family.
The ‘unwise’ romance took place during his nearly 30-year marriage to his wife Stephanie, 59, and Phillip said he was ‘so very sorry’ for being unfaithful.

Stephanie, who shares two kids Ruby, 27, and Molly, 29, with Phillip, issued a statement when her husband came out as gay in a moving This Morning segment in 2020.
Phillip stepped down from his This Morning hosting duties last weekend after more than 20 years on the airwaves before confirming the affair in a statement to the Daily Mail on Friday.
He has also resigned from ITV and will not host the British Soap Awards. He has also been dropped by his agents at YMU ‘with immediate effect’.
In a statement, the former ITV presenter said: ‘I am making this statement via the Daily Mail, to whom I have already apologised personally for misleading, through my lawyer who I also misled, about a story [sic] which they wanted to write about me a few days ago.
‘The first thing I want to say is: I am deeply sorry for having lied to them, and to many others about a relationship that I had with someone working on This Morning.
‘I did have a consensual on-off relationship with a younger male colleague at This Morning.
‘Contrary to speculation, whilst I met the man when he was a teenager and was asked to help him to get into television, it was only after he started to work on the show that it became more than a just a friendship.
‘That relationship was unwise, but not illegal. It is now over…
‘I am painfully conscious that I have lied to my employers at ITV, to my colleagues and friends, to my agents, to the media and therefore the public and most importantly of all to my family. I am so very, very sorry, as I am for having been unfaithful to my wife…
‘I am resigning from ITV with immediate effect, expressing my immense gratitude to them for all the amazing opportunities that they have given me.
‘I will reflect on my very bad judgement in both participating in the relationship and then lying about it.’

Following his statement, Phillip has also parted company with his management team YMU after 35 years.

‘This week, we have learned important new information about our client Phillip Schofield. These facts contradicted what Phillip had previously told YMU, as well as the external advisors we had brought in to support him.
‘As a result, on Thursday we agreed to part company with Phillip, with immediate effect.’
