Karan Johar is a celebrated filmmaker in Bollywood and there are no two ways about it. He made his directorial debut with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. In the coming years, he gave us blockbuster hits like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, My Name Is Khan and others. Apart from venturing into the direction, KJo, as he is fondly called, is a fantastic host, producer, judge and what not. Karan has the longest running talk show on television- Koffee With Karan and with every season, the filmmaker makes it better. Karan is friends with almost everyone in the industry hence we weren’t surprised to see who’s who of Bollywood attending his 47th birthday bash last night. The filmmaker turned a year older on May 25 but he hosted a grand bash to celebrate his birthday yesterday.
Katrina Kaif, Sidharth Malhotra, Janhvi Kapoor, Tara Sutaria, Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Sonakshi Sinha, Rajkummar Rao, Ishaan Khatter, Kiara Adavni, Kartik Aaryan , Aditya Roy Kapur, Huma Qureshi, Kriti Sanon, Manish Malhotra, Angad Bedi- Neha Dhupia, Diana Penty and many others marked their presence and partied the night away.

Meanwhile, Karan will be wearing the director’s hat for Takht soon. The last film that KJo directed was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Talking about Takht, it has an ensemble cast that includes Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Anil Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor. The movie is set in the Mughal era and is set to release in 2020.
