Tom Malone, 27, who quit Gogglebox earlier this month, shared a video on his TikTok page mocking Piers Morgan, 55, and Katie Hopkins, 46. The reality star and his girlfriend Bryony were seen skipping around in a circle seemingly pleased by his departure from the show following comments he made about Meghan Markle.

Some people weren’t happy about those

Tom wrote as a caption: “Loosing jobs for being bigots,” followed by: “We love to see it.”(sic)

The reality star’s post sparked a mixed reaction from many of his 722,000 followers.

Piers said he had to agree to disagree with ITV after refusing to apologise for comments he made about Meghan.

The presenter said he didn’t believe a word the Duchess of Sussex said as she opened up about her life in the royal family.

Speaking to Oprah Winfrey, she said she had suicidal thoughts and also claimed an unnamed member of the family expressed concerns over the colour of son Archie’s skin.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Tom said he still stands by his views on Piers.

On the controversial journalist’s exit from Good Morning Britain, he said: “I’ve been quite vocal about it.

“I made a couple of TikToks about the Piers thing – some people weren’t happy about those either.

“It’s ironic really, a lot of people want to defend people’s right to an opinion then get angry at people who have different opinions to them – it’s a bit of a funny one.

“A lot of people forget that just because he’s had a lot of positive impact in politics over the past year, it doesn’t mean you can get a pass for doing things that aren’t so great.

“In terms of the whole cancel culture thing, sometimes it goes a little bit far – some people can make mistakes and should be able to come back from [them].

“But, I think for the things he said regarding dismissing her mental health and stuff I think there’s certain things, unless you’re willing to humble yourself and apologise and admit that you’re wrong, I don’t think you should be in that position.”

Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Piers for comment.

Tom went on to say he was glad he “dodged a bullet” over the complaints the show received regarding cast view’s on Meghan’s Oprah Winfrey interview.

Ofcom revealed they have received more than 50 complaints for “anti-royalist commentary”.

The reality star previously said he was looking forward to watching the show as a viewer and “not having to worry about having said something stupid”.

Speaking further on this, he added: “It was never like I watched it and was nervous about saying anything out of order because, if I thought something was out of order, I wouldn’t say it.

“It’s more just a case of you’re not sitting there wondering what you said that made it into the show, you can just sit back and relax and enjoy the show for what it is.”

Tom went on to deny assumptions the show is possibly scripted, adding: “We literally just say the first thing that comes to our heads.”

Gogglebox continues tonight at 9pm on Channel 4.
