“Unfortunately, I think the stigma around being a young mum can still exist, but it’s wrong and nobody should judge you for the age you decide to have children. We need to support young mums.”

The mum and NHS doctor went on to discuss her own journey to motherhood with her husband, Peter Andre.

She added: “I was 24 when I had Millie, which I still count as quite young. That was hard at times, too. It’s really challenging and the last thing you need is people giving you dirty looks! Thankfully, I had a positive experience.”

Emily then commented on the changing perceptions of motherhood over the years and said that in the past, the age of 24 would have seemed quite late to have a baby.

She added: “I think that only a few generations ago people became parents much younger, and it’s only relatively recently that attitudes have changed. Back then, 24 would probably have been old to have your first baby!”

Emily, now 31, shares two children with husband Peter. Their daughter, Amelia, is now seven, while their son, Theodore, is now four. The couple are low-key when it comes to sharing pictures of their children on the internet and tend to blur their faces out of photos.

Emily, who is an NHS doctor, is also a stepmum to the two children Peter shares with ex-wife Katie Price; Princess Andre, 13, and Junior Andre, 15.

Recently, Peter, 47, opened up about contracting coronavirus and told fans how he’d been coping with the virus.

In his new magazine column, Peter wrote: “As you may have heard I’ve tested positive for coronavirus. I was surprised to say the least when I got my test results back.

"At the time of writing this I’ve got aches and I’ve just not been feeling quite right. It’s a scary time for a lot of people out there.”

"I’m being careful around the kids so I’m wearing a mask and keeping my distance.

"It’s worrying for people who live on their own. I feel incredibly grateful that I have my family around me even if we can’t be near each other!"

Peter also thanked his wife for supporting him during his illness.
