Carol Vorderman looks fabulous after showing off DIY haircut
Carol Vorderman delighted her Instagram followers at the weekend by showing off her latest hairstyle after she snipped her golden locks herself at home.
The 62-year-old beauty took to her Perfect 10 quiz podcast account to parade the new look, which incorporated stylish blonde layers – in stark contrast to her previous appearance which saw her strands similar in length.
The former Countdown star remains unconvinced by her handy work, however, revealing that she is considering a visit to the hairdressers to have her tresses tidied up.
“I cut my hair this morning, I lobbed about two inches off it,” revealed Carol in a short video clip.
She continued: “I do this every time. I layered it and did all of that. Probably done a completely s*** job and by Monday I’ll have to visit the hairdressers.
“Anyway that’s what I did this morning – what about you?”
Last week, meanwhile, the star showcased her age-defying looks in eye-popping images, as she donned a faux leather tan pencil dress designed by Sosander.
Teaming it with wedge platform sandals, which she claimed were “old” and a pendant necklace she happily posed for the series of snaps.
The compliments flew in thick and fast with fans praising Carol for her timeless beauty and style.

One fan responded: “You look amazing in leather x.”
Another wrote: “You look exorbitantly stunning in your amazing leather dress.” (sic)

Carol’s quiz is available through all the usual podcast providers.
In her official description it claims it is “guaranteed to educate, entertain and irritate!”
As the name suggests it only features 10 questions which it says, “will really get your synapses firing”.
The star has been hosting the show since early January this year.
