Left it too late to fake tan for a party?
Or maybe you're looking to layer over your base tan and give yourself a glow – either way, there's a body illuminator just waiting to give your skin the boost it needs.
There's also a formula to suit everyone, depending on whether you're looking for a hint of shimmer, a golden glow or a full-on festival sparkle.
Even better, there's no nasty fake tan smell or messy sheets to deal with when you're using an instant bronzer – you just swipe it on and wash it off when you want.
But if you're not sure which one to buy, Notebook's beauty writer Zoe has been testing out five of them to give you a heads-up on the best ones.
Here's what she thought…
Huda N.Y.M.P.H Body Blur and Glow Brush, £28
‘The three bronze shade choices are nice and they look beautiful in the bottles, but I couldn’t get the thick formula to blend – even with the brush.
'It applied in one clumpy streak and I got into a real shimmery mess trying to spread it out.’
Sol de Janeiro Glowmotions Glow Oil, £35
‘I’m annoyed I like this so much, as it’s going to be a big summer expense for me now.
'Rio Sunset (there are three others shades), was a nice caramel tone and had a creamy texture – thicker than a regular oil. It gave me a flawless, even glow.’
Anastasia Beverly Hills Shimmer Body Oil, £43
‘I like the spray nozzle as it means I didn’t get my hands oily. It was VERY shimmery though, with quite big glitter particles.
'My advice? Use sparingly because my legs were reflecting the sun after a couple of pumps.’
B. Bronzing Golden Mist, £6.65
‘The mist was fine, so gave an even coat without much buffing in needed. I used it over a fake tan and it accentuated the bronze nicely, without making me too sparkly.
'The oil sinks in quickly, too, so it didn’t get onto clothes.’
Nip + Fab Glow Getter Body Oil, £16.75
‘Feels lovely on skin – soft, not sticky. The shimmer is subtle and it tinted my legs a nice shade of bronze.
'I swiped a bit on with a mitt before going out and I had friends asking if I’d been on holiday!’
